Who Am I ?
My name is Richard E. Fleharty
I was born on May 23, 1958, in Ponca City, Oklahoma
I graduated from Ponca City High School in 1976 and entered the U.S. Navy, where I was an electronics technician for six years (1976 - 1982)
In 1983 I went to work at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, a premier applied science laboratory, which is part of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) within the Department of Energy (DOE). I stayed there until 1989.
I have worked various odd jobs and attended collage in Oklahoma and California. I was trained as a fire fighter and have been self employed for the past fifteen years involved in electrical contracting, welding, concrete work, control systems management, radio tower maintenance, equipment and machinery repair, and the location of underground utilities.
I was born and raised in Ponca City, Oklahoma and I like to think of myself as a “down home” sort of guy who is tired of seeing our great nation fall apart because of the abuse, neglect, and greed from politicians at every level of our government.
I am sick of seeing the failures of those watchdogs who have grown fat and lazy on handouts from the enemies of our way of life.
I am afraid that we have all become complacent and lax in our duties as American citizens. We have let our guard down and, by doing so we have let ourselves be lulled into a false sense of security. I think that we have a lot of problems in this country and I think, together, we can fix those problems.
I am running for President of the United States in 2008 as an Independent. I would like to talk to you if you care about saving this country and listening to someone who might have the honor, beliefs and integrity to revive this country.
No leader can fix the problems alone. It takes people who are willing to put forth an effort to do that. However, a real leader can give direction, set goals and display morals that will lead this nation back to being the greatest nation on earth. This country has a long road back to the top. It’s not an insurmountable journey but, the sooner we start and the harder we work at it, the sooner we will be able to enjoy what our forefathers built.
If you are concerned about the path this country has taken, I would love to hear from you and would welcome the opportunity to speak to you or your group. Contact me at my web site, www.flehartyusa.com, or at my campaign headquarters at 106 North 2nd, Ponca City Oklahoma.
